my garden

Look what has been growing in my garden.

PURPLE PEPPERS.

(okay. purple pepper. as in singular.

I am not the best gardener.)

But still! Look! It grew!

Anyone know what you do with a purple pepper?

Feeling Inspired

I am feeling inspired

by my toddler's paint pens.

(Paint pens are pens that have the paint inside...

which makes clean up much easier!)

She scribbled that yellow heart and I was blown away!

(Scribbled being her word, not mine.)

Now if only I could set asside these work papers

and get creative myself!

My sewing room

Has too many projects started and not enough finished...

Any suggestions on actually finishing things?

What I have been working on...

Yes...fleece.

Mostly because I bought it and don't want my hubby to find it...

Gypsy Tote Kit - A Review

So I needed to make a tote bag for a swap I was a part of
and found this kit at my local Joann's store.

When I opened it, I found all the fabric I needed and these beautiful directions.

With step by step instructions,

including very detailed pictures,

this Gypsy tote kit showed me exactly what to do.

EXACTLY.

Which was exactly what I wanted.

I ended up changing the handles

(by adding grommets instead)

but look at what a beautiful bag I ended up with:

(complete with inside pocket).

My partner was happy with what she received

and I was proud of what I made!

Worth the kit!

for tote bags, lap quilts, or full bed quilts.

Take My Breath Away

Taking a good family photo is hard to do.

Especially when you are not so photogenic

(me)

Married to someone who SO is

(swoon).

And then throw a two-year old in the mix

(sigh)

Boy, am I one lucky lady!
